About Bumblez
Fighting back, one swing at a time.

Hi, I’m Simon.
I’m a tennis coach, a step dad, and now somehow, a two-time cancer fighter.
And this is Bumblez: not just a Racquet sundries store, but a small act of hope, stitched together by perseverance, purpose, and a bit of sting in the tail.

Why Bumblez?
Bumblez was born from something strange and simple: the way I’ve felt through this entire journey like a bee bumbling forward, wings a bit torn, not always flying straight, but still moving.
When I was first diagnosed with a rare skin cancer in early 2024, everything stopped.
My work. My mobility. My sense of self.
One surgery turned into two.
Immunotherapy turned into side effects.
Then came the news: two small lesions in the brain.
More treatment. More waiting rooms. Less strength.
I found myself asking:
“When does the comeback begin?”
The truth is, I didn’t know.
But somehow, through the uncertainty and pain, I kept going.
I chose imperfectly, stubbornly to bee positive.
Finding Strength in Small Things
I couldn’t coach full-time anymore. I couldn’t swing like I used to. But I could still give something back.
So I started Bumblez: a way to stay connected to the sport I love while building something flexible enough to work around treatment, and personal enough to make a difference.
Every item I sell here is hand-picked, player-approved, and court-tested, because I’ve used them myself. And every sale helps in two ways:
£5 from every retenser & Wilson Garros Roland Dampeners product goes to charities that helped me stand again.
And the rest? It helps keep me on my feet, financially, emotionally, and with something to focus on beyond hospitals and test results.
What Bumblez Stands For
Resilience.
Like a bumblebee, I wasn’t built to glide, but I’m still here, still buzzing, still pushing forward every day.
Community.
Cancer doesn’t fight fair, but with my family, friends, and now maybe even you, I’ve never had to face it alone.
Purpose
This isn’t just a shop, it’s a symbol. A way to turn pain into strength, and struggle into something that brings hope.
This Is Bigger Than Me
I never expected to share this part of my life so publicly, but if it connects, if it helps one more person feel less alone, it’s worth it.
Thank you for stopping by. Thank you for reading this far.
And whether you buy something or just share the story, you’re already part of my rally.
Keep swinging,
Simon
